Hot News
 COMMON DREAM is hardly working on new material. Konrad is writing new songs for the new album in his home studio. A few of them you can hear during the Common Dream live shows:

The new Common Dream music is a big step forward after Gravity album. It's full of modern and alternative electronic sounds. Multiple melancholic tunes are mixed with characteristic guitar riffs.It's planned to invite some guests for the album recording session. One of them - vocalist Kuba - will appear with the band during the nearest live gigs.

Cancelled Show
 Our planned show supporting MELOTRON in Poznan last Saturday was cancelled due to Konrad's flu. He wasn't able to sing with fever. We apologise all of you who wanted to see us live.

Common Draem recorded the debut album in February'02 in Tarnow Spectrum Studio. It was engineered and mixed by Kris Krupa.

Konrad in hospital
Recently Konrad had some health problems. He was forced to spend a few days in hospital. Now everything seems to be okay, he feels quite good. We'd like to thank everyone for greetings and support.

In Studio
Common Dream are back in Ziyo Spectrum Studio in Tarnow starting work on their debut album. The first song recorded last days is Someone Could, which is to be released as a single later this year. Leszek Luszcz is a producer/engineer during the first part of studio work. The band plans to record vocals, guitars and pre-mix the songs in Tarnow. Final part of production, mix and mastering will be done in KinskiNoize Studios in Berlin.

Videoclip

Today shots for the videoclip of `Someone Could` have started in Cracow. It is directed by Patryk Jordanowicz and Wojtek Zielinski. The movie session will continue till Tuesday yet. The videoclip is realized by a movie group My Favourite Eye from Cracow. The group has existed for two years and is formed by the students of the film at Jagiellonian University and PWST. It has two independent short-feature films in the acquired possession. The premiere of the videoclip is expected in September!

Radio

The interview with the band, recorded after the Warsaw concert in Empik by Piotr Kordaszewski, was broadcasted by the Polish Radio "BIS" on 18th June.
During the next three weeks Common Dream "Bloodflowers" is included in Radio "MAKS" playlist.

Studio Report
The last two days Common Dream spent in Spectrum Studio in Tarnow recording The Cure cover "Bloodflowers". Yesterday we recorded drums with guest musician Seba Mnich. Today Konrad recorded guitars and another guest musician - bassist Maciek Lozinski - played some bass lines. The session is engineered by Bartek Kaplonski (known from ZIYO, Siedem, Dzika Kiszka). In the next few days Konrad is going to record vocals. Next the song will be mixed and mastered by Bartek. "Bloodflowers" will appear on Polish tribute to The Cure next year.

Concert report (Tarnowskie Gory - October 14, 2000)
Yesterday we were playing a concert in Tarnowskie Gory. It was a part of Depeche Mode Fan Convention. The concert was a promotion of Polish Independent DM Tribute "Mode In Poland". We were performing 10 tracks - over 40 minutes. It was the first live performence with new material. Our new songs got a good reception.

Our friends from "Synthetics" magazine made some good reviews about "Electroskies" in their magazine. You can read it on their home page. Our home page will change soon. There will be some new sections on it.
Now we're working on the new version of our song "Sand And Sorry". The song is almost ready. Konrad will record the vocals and some gutars soon. When we finish it we'll put the audio sample on our site.

I have good news today! Our demo CD is ready. There are six tracks on the CD-R, two new songs and four old ones. We are going to send it to several places in Germany, USA and Sweden. We are almost finishing work with two songs: the new one: "Hate And Love" and the new version of our old track: "Promises And Lies '99". Lyrics for both songs are now available. Mp3 files - soon.

You can find the lyrics of one of the latest songs entitled "With Might And Main". You can also listen to the fragments of this song in mp3 format. The band started to cooperate with German synthpop magazine SYNTHETICS, they wrote a review of Common Dream demo tape in December issue. Our German friends said that they really like our music, and they want to make an interview with Common Dream in February. Besides they are going to distribute our demo tape in Germany. October 31, 1998

As I promised we work very hard and we made our latest song "Hate And Love". It's still in Common Dream style, but Konrad plays more guitars. As always, Amal wrote the lyrics. You will be able to hear it in mp3 format soon.

After long holidays Common Dream begins work. Some great songs are waiting for finishing ("we're different", "sad and sorry", "devil in your head", "hate and love"). In Niedojadlo's mini-studio some songs should see the daylight soon.

We recorded (18.03.1998) our new song "With Might And Main" and we're going to record other songs soon. Poolhouse Productions from Odessa, Texas - USA, want us to participate in their "Poolhouse Compilation, Vol. 1" (Autumn 1998). We're going to send them our tape and signed contract...


January 23,1998

Best wishes for all of You in New Year! Another radio interview is done - of course for our friends from RAK Radio (with the sounds of "WoYD"). But the most important thing is that the NEW SONG is almost finished!!! The title is "With Might And Main" and Amal has written lyrics. It's a mixture of pure synthpop and dance influences. We are going to record it (with the other songs: "I'll Be Strong", "Sad And Sorry", "We're Different", "Another Night") next month and send it to some places in USA, Sweden and Germany. If Todd from A Different Drum likes it, he may even release something on the 4th part of "RISE!". Our friend from Wladyslawowo - Robert Sokolowski made a cover of WoYD. It's entitled "One Of Your Dream - version". Although it's instrumental, it's superb!


October 1,1997

After the release of CD "Synthpop - The Next Generation" we did some interviews for radio stations: MAKS Radio (June 26), RAK Radio (July 15) and TEMI Magazine ("Compilation CD in the USA", August). During holidays we made some new songs. Although they aren't finished, they sound well, I think.


June 16,1997

So... the compilation is out now. "World Of Your Dreams" is number 7.I heaven't heard it yet, but David Lin sent me some copies of it. Remember: June 13th, 1997 is the day of the first release of Common Dream's song.Let's drink to that.


May 6,1997

Konrad is working on the new material. He has composed two newsongs. Working titles are: "Love Lines" and "Low(without your smile)". Personally, I think that they arethe best tracks he has ever done. The songs are about life, loveand behaviour. And they sounds very synthpop and in De/Vision-Style.


February 18,1997

Things are changing and people are changing... Konrad will probablyNOT leave Common Dream! He said that he is going to sing on thenew song "In Sad Sorry". It will be recorded soon inRadio RAK studio in Cracow. The song is almost finished, but Ihave to work with the lyrics for it. It's possible that the titlewill change on "Sad & Sorry". Although Konrad hasdifferent music interests, he knows what is Common Dream and whatkind of music we are going to play. It's his first good decisionfor over six months.
